Here's a lovely review from Sophie Fowler of HedMag (Preston's Alternative Music Magazine)...
Despite one of the new songs going astray [ha ha, yeah, brand-new tune "Girls That Melt In The Mouth" went a little dodgy, we'll get it right next time! - Matt], Armrug were everything you'd expect from one of Preston's cheekiest bands. With the self-confessed "dirty lyrics" belted out by Jamie, coupled with the strong drums and riffs of Matt and Luke, Armrug's sound is one that everyone can enjoy and bop to. It's cheeky, it's rude ("I Love You, Can I Go Down On you?" being one of the well-remembered songs) and it's damn good. It's the kind of music that you sing along to with a grin on your face and that's always a bonus. Jamie's venture into the photography pit and the lively banter between songs with each other and the crowd does nothing but add to the general idea that these guys are loving every minute of their time on stage. The one thing to note about Armrug is that they aren't just a novelty band. Whilst they say they started the band to contest the "song and dance" everyone was making about the music industry, it's evident that these guys have dedication to their skills that stems from a deep-rooted passion to make good music. Everybody should love a little bit of Armrug.

This was fun, a nice big stage all to ourselves.
We didn't get a full band sound check, which was our own fault for being drastically late! But, in the end it sounded pretty damn good all told (Dan the soundman doing a stirling job). Apparently Jamie's vocals were a bit low in the mix, but surely that's a good thing? Anyhoo, we didn't play our best, but we enjoyed ourselves and so did the crowd I hope... Luke dashed off early after we'd played to catch a plane to New York, which makes me quite jealous cos we just ended up going to The Warehouse and drinking Sambuca. Which is fun, but not as fun as New York I bet.
Also, the brand-new Armrug badges went down a treat - if you don't have one yet you need to get yourself one quick-sharp - they're this season's must-have accessory.
