Freshers and Tescos

I live in Manchester. It is known as a large student city - this is no secret. And it is also no secret that they mostly live in South Manchester, around the Fallowfied-Didsbury area. I visited Tescos today to get my weekly big-shop in. It seemst that the entire student population are out in force to buy their provisions for the year ahead. Lots of 18yr olds with concerned looking parents, wallets at the ready to financially help out where they can so they can feel helpful. It feels not so long ago since my parents dropped me off at Salford uni, with a box of groceries bought at Sainsburys. Of course, that was my only quality source of food for the year - all the rest bought from Kwik Save in Moccha Parade. Oh the joy.
